Part of the College’s Management Team and responsible to the Director of Learning and Teaching for managing the efficient, effective and equitable operation of the Academic Department including the development and delivery of its programs. Other responsibilities include: supporting curriculum development, accreditation of programs in conjunction with the University of Portsmouth, shared responsibility for management, recruitment, induction and development of the College’s teaching team of around 45 -50 lecturers, ensuring the smooth delivery of teaching and assessments (including timetabling), and responsibility for reviewing and improving teaching quality and the student experience.
