A former Partner and international tax expert with 20+ years partnering with large corporate organisations, my unique offering is a truly global perspective and understanding of the international tax environment that elevates my ability to shape strategic risk prioritisation for tax matters effectively at Board/C-level. Currently holding the role of Director with the ATO’s International Tax Structuring team, I bring a background partnering and advising C-level leaders of major US/multinational and Australian organisations on strategic risk management as related to taxation. This includes deep expertise in multinational investment, structuring and the wave of global generational tax reform related to OECD BEPS and its impact on international affairs. Of note is six years spent in the US running the Australian desk for Deloitte in NYC, where I provided technical, yet practical, insights into the risks and commercial considerations businesses must consider in international tax planning and execution. This is built on a solid foundation in broader tax matters, mainly focused on major mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, tax structuring, ATO audit engagement and a number of industry specific areas of expertise such as gifted assets and capitalized labour. I have worked across sectors and geographies, but hold deep expertise in the US market and the energy, utilities, infrastructure and resources. One of my key strengths is my ability to communicate, to traverse cultures and sectors, especially on complex matters.
