A unique position that blends high-level technical skills with problem solving, relationship management, and customer service. I worked closely with the student community to ensure our central IT department meets their academic computing needs, partnering with individual students and student groups as they develop new services for the MIT community. I facilitate and convene the student technology advisory board to leverage student perspectives and expertise to improve delivery of IT services. I also work with faculty on unique instructional technology projects, as they continue to integrate technology into the classroom.I provide technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on development experience to other teams within the department, and I am the release engineer and lead developer (supervising junior developers) throughout the annual release process for MIT’s Linux-based academic computing environment. I supervise entry-level support staff providing front-line customer support to members of the MIT community. I also develop training material and lead seminars for the community at large, and for co-workers within our IT organization.
