Jonathan is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Orthology and he provides outpatient physical therapy services for musculoskeletal injuries sustained by individuals of all ages, especially industrial workers and performing artists. His physical therapy training at the University of Cape Town, South Africa focused on various manual therapy and functional restoration techniques, including Cyriax, Maitland and McKenzie. He performs Functional Capacity Evaluations, Job Site Analyses, Ergonomic Analyses, and Post Offer Evaluations in various work settings.Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Minnesota: his dissertation research concerned the identification of right shoulder motion and electromyographic exposure variation analysis characteristics in right-sided subacromial impingement in violinists. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.Jonathan has consulted as an expert witness in medico-legal and medical malpractice cases. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Performing Arts Medical Association, The International Shoulder Group (affiliated with the International Society for Biomechanics), and the American String Teachers Association.
