I am heavily involved in cloud security, policy, and architecture.I represent security for various review and approval boards.I am currently utilizing Terraform and Sentinel to write/review code changes in our environment.I lead a team that focuses on information security controls assessment. We interview the project team to verify that their plans and project meet our security standards. If during the investigation we find they currently do not meet our standards, we work with them to identify the gaps and what will be necessary to mitigate them.I have developed an auditable process to verify that any changes to existing projects or any new project being considered meet our security standards. I am currently developing a firewall rule review/approval process to verify that any firewall changes meet our standard.I wrote a change advisory board process/procedure document for security reviews.I lead a team that handled security integration for our latest acquisition. Once this team was set and running well, I switched over to Cloud Security to help onboard and train the incoming team of cloud security engineers.As departments request new AWS services to be used, I research how they can be configured to meet our security standard and then bring them in-line with our cloud security standard.Act as a team lead to the security engineering team. I assist with sprint planning, training, writing processes and documentation for the new engineers.

I lead a team that is responsible for the network and security operations for multiple data centers both physical and virtual. I deal with the configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of F5 load balancers, Cisco ASAs, Nexus switches, Catalyst, and ISR routers. My team is helping to guide the direction of the networking and security within the various environments and current infrastructure. I have built and maintain dozens of VPC's in AWS for dozens of products. I am responsible for the connectivity and access between all of these virtual environments. I am also responsible for the connectivity between on-prem and our AWS environments. I work with product teams to design and configure environments in AWS that are functional, secure, and compliant.

Provide technical assistance to Palo Alto clients by troubleshooting Palo Alto Security Products. Assist customers through email, phone support, webex sessions for remote troubleshooting/configuration. Dealt with issues that involved the following: creating and troubleshooting VPN’s, routing, policies, virtual systems, virtual routers, screening, IDS, honey pots, traffic anomalies, traffic shaping, NSRP, high-availability, SRS, and packet captures. Assisted the customer with their networking issues and we helped with everything from incident response to initial configuration and deployment. Quickly became one of the top performers. Because of my knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, I was one of the leads for issues that arose outside of the Palo Alto firewalls.

Responsible for helping to maintain the infrastructure which consisted of labs, a campus wide wireless network, and core switches/routers. Independently responsible for the research lab network that consisted of 40+ labs each having their own connectivity requirements. Continuously monitored the performance of the various lab networks and adjusted flows to maximize performance while maintaining the security posture of the organization.
