I like to build communities that work together to concretely understand the problem, dream of new possibilities, educate and encourage each other, and provide measurable results. As a Research & Development Fellow, I work with Biblica's translation teams to understand what translators really need, then imagine how to create it. I was previously the Program Manager for the Paratext Ecosystem, the most widely used Bible translation software. I am co-chair of the Copenhagen Alliance, which creates open data for biblical digital humanities, focusing on Greek treebanks and other high quality resources for Greek. On the W3C, I was the lead editor of XPath and XQuery. At EMC's Enterprise Content Division, I was the chair of the API Governance Board, coordinating APIs and mentoring engineers in REST API design. I also helped chair the Architecture Community Forum, a community of practice for teaching and evaluating architecture. At Red Hat, I was a member of the AMQP team, working on enterprise messaging systems.Specialties: Hellenistic Greek, Community Building, REST API design, XQuery, XML, JSON, Digital Humanities, Data Modeling, Data Integration, Standards, Open Source
