Working within the Global Business Continuity team responsible to establish, enhance, and execute an industry-leading end-to-end framework to ensure MetLife’s third-party operational risks are properly identified, evaluated, mitigated, and monitored.

- Oversee the Business Continuity Testing Program for the Americas and ensure the firm’s recovery capability is proven and regulatory requirements are satisfied- Established global third-party business continuity testing framework - Manage diverse team of professionals across Raleigh and New York- Govern regular disaster recovery tests simulating the loss of the various production sites and critical staff members, applications, and third parties- Facilitate and coordinate Industry/Street-wide disaster recovery tests with exchanges, counter parties, and third parties- Collaborate with regional counterparts to drive global efficiencies and synergies- Partner with regional IT senior management to ensure disaster recovery readiness is at an appropriate level- Provide expertise, knowledge, and guidance on disaster recovery solutions and industry standards

- BCM Recovery Strategy Testing - oversee business recovery testing against Loss of Premises, Loss of Staff, Loss of External Supplier and Loss of IT scenarios with the business to ensure recovery capabilities are proven- Provide second line defense oversight in the planning, participation, and post-mortem for the annual Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity, foreign exchange products, and mortgage back securities products annual DR testing weekends- Assist in the lead of Raleigh Campus’s BCM crisis management activities- Manage KPIs and KRIs against the third party, IT DR, and business recovery strategy testing programs- Operating model working group member charged with revising BCM’s global structure, reorienting of business support, reporting simplification, and policy, framework, and standards alignment

- Helped found, create, and direct project in collaboration with two Returned Peace Corps Volunteers - Provided infrastructure development and reconstruction assistance in southern India after the December 2004 tsunami- Worked at the grassroots level on the ground in the hardest hit part of India - Identified a tangible community need, set goals and objectives to meet that need, and raised over $65,000 from public and private donors in four weeks - Assisted in the design and oversight of the construction of a 12,000 sq. foot building - Allocated funding for the establishment and construction of an orphanage and children’s center
