I lead engineering and clinical product development teams. I seek challenges that push existing limits of clinical practice, engineering design, and manufacturing processes. My focus has been interventional and structural cardiovascular procedures where I have close relationships with thought-leaders worldwide. I have lead successful development programs in IVUS imaging, stenting, transplantation, surgical and valvular interventions, from earliest pre-clinical and feasibility cases through pivotal validation. My strength is at the intersection of materials science, applied mechanics, design, and clinical performance. I have broad experience with fabrication processes, analytical methods and testing strategies, particularly with critical tradeoffs between durability and performance in permanent implant settings. I have an active development interest in competitive sports performance improvement, particularly swimming, cycling, and rowing.
