Responsible for managing a team of banking clerks and also the control of all company bank accounts:•Posting depot sales to general ledger• Processing BACS payments for Payroll and Purchase Ledger•Posting bank journals and reconciling all bank accounts•Posting all card sales and reconciling visa, AMEX and online sales accounts•Implemented a new direct debit system to use for retail accounts•Process adhoc electronic payments for the company•Reconcile and maintain all company credit cards •First line support for all credit/debit card queries for the company•Monthly balance sheet reconciliation for all payroll accounts•Involved in the building and implementation of a new point of sale system in over 650 depots

Sole responsibility for the daily running of the sales ledger and assisting with the monthly accounts:•Preparation and posting of monthly journals•Assist with monthly management accounts, including prepayments, accruals and Bank Reconciliation•Reconcile stock variances weekly and monthly with external distribution company•Processing of daily invoicing, processing of weekly payment files and reconciliation of the ledger•Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations•Reduced trade debtors over 90 days down from £300k to £0k.•Involved in the implementation of a new accountancy system

Sole responsibility for the daily running of the billings and collections facilities for 2 companies:•Producing various billing schedules as per customer’s needs•Monthly analysis of billings and collections including debtor report•Point of contact for three of the largest accounts in the company in charge of allocating over 2m each month• Generating reports for senior management weekly for area manager meetings•Create, amend and terminate all accounts across the companies
