This role is a varied one - managing and developing community programmes in our partner schools (Preston Lodge High School and Preston Tower Primary School). My role includes working with these schools to engage the hardest to reach children and young people with their learning through different initiatives. This initiatives include school cooking, health and wellbeing, family capacity work, additional curriculum programmes and outdoor pursuits. I manage a strong community minded team of volunteers and staff who run these programmes with the young people at the heart of everything we do. This role also includes leading our lunch clubs (which aim to tackle holiday hunger). I run the PSG Area Ward club which supports 120 children and young people aged 3 to 16 have access to food and opportunities over the holidays.

Swimming Providing Swimming Lessons to children who have not been in the pool before and educating them in water confidence and safety. The aim is to reduce swimming inequality in East Lothian. Lunch ClubsI help facilitate the PSG Lunch Club that helps to fight holiday hunger in Prestonpans and the surrounding area. I help with the running of day to day activities in the club too. Health & SafetyI assist in ensuring Lunch Club and the Trust staff have up to date policies especially working on CookSafe Regulations, risk assessments and certain working agreements during the Lunch Club.Provision CoordinationI have coordinated for the last two years Christmas provision in the trust. This includes logistics, referrals and delivery of services. This gives families and elderly food, gifts and social interaction over the festive period. Last year alone we served over 600 kids from 300 families
