CurrentJonathan Saint Clair, former CEO of the MatterFab Corporation, a 3D printer startup, and is working as an independent consultant with Rennaissance 21, and on a number of market focused opportunities in aerospace, sensors, and communications. Jonathan received two Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Physics and Applied Math from the University of Colorado, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Physics. He has more than 30 years’ experience leading the development and application of more than 10 advanced systems based on lasers and electro-optics technology for aerospace and defense product and manufacturing process challenges with several Boeing divisions. He led the Boeing Commercial Space Company startup’s optical inter-satellite link product line development, and was President of Vestigo, a Boeing incubator project based on advanced optical metrology. In his most recent role as a Boeing Technical Fellow, he led a Boeing enterprise team to successfully capture $20M NASA Space Communications technology IDIQ R&D contract, and formed and led enterprise development team creating technical solution and $30M whitepaper, judged the best solution by US Government among top aerospace company offerings, won >$3M internal funding to build prototype elements of the architecture for demonstration, won co-funding test support from DOD customer. He holds 27 patents. Jonathan is Chair of the ASTM 3D Imaging Committee E57, a member of the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Committee, and is a member of OSA, APS, and SPIE.
