UTEC’s Transitional Coaches provide critical support and services to young adults in UTEC’s Workforce Development Program. They encourage young adults to persist in programming and help them address barriers to attendance and success.

Act as an advocate for each person served. Actively provide direct supports, case management and case coordination services and supports to assigned individuals and programs. Develop, implement and monitor individual support plans and work in close collaboration with the ISP team. Provide training and guidance to direct reports in the provision of direct supports to persons served in accordance with the ISP. Maintain regular contact with all stakeholders, uphold and support the organization’s mission, philosophy and values. Assist in creating person-centered, supportive learning environments that safeguard and enhances the lives of the people we serve.

● Collaborate and lead teams of three or more building stone walls, patios, and walkways ● Effectively communicate to the team our job and goal of a given project● Plant and care for trees and other plants desired on the property ● Read and translate blueprints for measurements, placements, and elevations ● Operate heavy machinery (skid steer, loader, and mini excavator) ● Operate tools including reciprocating saw, angle grinder, laser level, and cutoff saw ● Communicate with homeowners and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed with precision and meeting benchmarks within desired timeline.

● Conducted outreach within the homeless community providing access to resources to the unhoused. ● Provided case management for unhoused individuals seeking mental health, drug rehabilitation, or any other community resource ● Drove and transported unhoused individuals to and from resources within community increasing safety and consistency● Work in collaboration with other outreach workers and city officials in the city to greater aid the unhoused community● Documented all encounters, services, personal information, and appointments for homeless individuals to follow progression ● Worked with in our mental health database complying with HIPPA guidelines ● Documented and recorded all homeless clients’ demographics, information, and services in The Homeless Management Information System for the state of NH to better understand how other organizations can help the individual● Became trained in using and carried Narcan for those suspected of overdose in the community
