I have over 15 years of experience working with language assessments in applied settings and have coordinated multifaceted research projects for local and international high-stakes language assessments. My research and professional experience includes project management, test development and administration, psychometric analysis, and a wide range of validation research. My approach to assessment development and validation is shaped by the intended use of a test and emphasizes a balance between measurement quality and practicality. As an applied linguist and educational testing researcher, I draw upon theoretical research and utilize mixed methods when possible.As a Senior Research Scientist ETS, I coordinate research for the TOEIC family of assessments (https://www.ets.org/toeic/research.html). This includes:- Language testing, teaching, and learning product development- Developing research plans for new and existing TOEIC assessments- Designing research studies to support claims about test quality and test use- Disseminating research results through presentations and publications
