In a team of three, the Deckhand Directors are responsible for planning and leading up to 16 Deckhands per session in a variety of jobs within the dining hall including kitchen, janitorial, and maintenance tasks. In addition, Deckhand Directors plan and lead daily sessions on core Christian themes, providing spiritual leadership for Deckhands. They will lead these sessions following the curriculum provided and in discussion with the Program Director before camp begins. The Deckhand program is intended to encourage and challenge youth in their faith and build Christian leaders with a sincere desire to serve the Lord.Lastly, Deckhand Directors will coordinate adventure times where Deckhands will go on day trip activities to be challenged and grow as a group.

Skippers, alongside their junior cabin leader (First Mate), are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of 10-12 campers. They work to develop relationships with campers and be physically, emotionally and spiritually present to their needs. Skippers lead activities, assist younger campers with basic needs, participate in evening games with their cabin, participate in skits prepared by Program, contribute to a positive camp atmosphere, lead daily Bible studies, supervise their cabin during Watch, supervise their cabin during meals, participate daily in camp clean up, supervise campers during free time and facilitate cabin discussions daily. This position is essential to the success of the camp.
