I work as part of the Operations team, whose primary responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. I install server racks, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, rackdown recovery, and responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability. I work and meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets, I am the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues, which involves regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.). I also carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system related repairs. This work contributes to the availability of the AWS service catalogue for external customers.I perform on-call duties and participate in Data Center operations, handling scheduled maintenance and change management activities that require monitoring of the data center infrastructure. I participate in team meetings for metric analysis and discuss achieving daily/weekly goals. I possess knowledge of the policies and procedures, including safety and security within the data center environment. I assist in the recruiting process by conducting interviews and training less experienced members of the team.
