Designing new Rack Parallel Electric Power Steering Systems in Japan for the global market with a focus on the North American market. Communicate in English and Japanese on a daily basis to efficiently complete tasks, hold meetings, and develop the EPS system. Influence designs based on practical experience gained during studying and working in the United States to change the Japanese mindset. Direct the implementation of new VA/VE items into EPS systems with production, purchasing, and testing to confirm that the new designs can meet customer requirements and production restrictions

Combined numerous requirements from the vast amount of global customers to implement a global JTEKT RP-EPS standard that meets the needs of every global market. Assisted in managing the design process flow between JTEKT Japan and JTEKT North America to create an effective flow of information. Worked side by side with the prototype department to assemble and test various types of JTEKT EPS systems currently in both production and prototype stages.

Training to obtain a strong understanding of the overall processes of JTEKT North American to assist with future positions within JTEKT. Produced prototype designs and parts for EPS quickly to initiate tests to raise the understanding of how small changes can affect the overall system. Develop new potential product lines that current JTEKT facilities can produce to make use of open capacity in North America.

I advised, evaluated, and oversaw 3 - 5 Lab Assistants nightly so they perform their jobs correctly. I also acted as support for the Site Operators by checking classroom equipment and checking on reported issues.
