Continuous Improvement Assistant
CurrentAnalyze operations and designing workflows and production processes to reduce costs.Minimize inefficiencies and ensure that final products meet established quality delivery standards.Make sure that the company’s operational systems make the best use of its resources.Adjusts the company’s operational processes to continuously improve efficiency.Identify opportunities for improvement and make informed recommendations by analyzing operations, performing value stream analysis, ergonomic job surveys, time and work studies, and reviewing job loads.Design, redesign, or enhance work areas and facility layouts to minimize health and safety issues, maximize productivity, and meet quality standards.Install new equipment and layouts as required.Identify and assess problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices.Research and recommend appropriate solutions as required.Analyze costs and inputs of production.Implement control methods and modifications to reduce costs.Champion the LEAN, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead in the research and development of new products.Lead/Champion assigned projects to include but not limited to timelines, vendor management, Capex, through installation and launch.Manage process documentation.Prepare production reports, material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.Plan and design plant layouts and facilities.Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations.Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources.Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff and other engineers.
