Independent consultant with twin areas of expertise: i) Data advocacy (annual reports, impact reporting and case-making): gathering, analysing and digesting information, and using it to communicate clearly to target audiences. I bring data to life and put structure around things, developing frameworks for annual reports and other corporate documents. ii) Media sector (public policy, strategy, regulation and consultations): more than 20 years’ experience working with senior executives in the TV and film industries. As Channel 4’s Head of Public Value, I led the development and implementation of a new data-centric annual report, which went on to win the Accountancy Age Annual Report of the Year (public and voluntary sector) award (2008). This inspired me to spread my wings and establish independent consultancy firm Inflection Point in 2009. Regular media clients include Channel 4 and the British Screen Forum. Manchester City FC has also been a client each year since 2012, with its 2011-12 annual report Highly Commended in the CorpComms Awards for “Best annual report – private sector organisations”.
