Jon Simons is Vice President of Digital & State Advocacy for NCTA – The Internet and Television Association. He guides the association’s digital advocacy and mobilization strategy, promoting the cable industry’s priorities to policy maker and consumer audiences. Simons joined NCTA in 2018 after serving as Vice President of Political Advocacy for the National Restaurant Association (NRA). At the NRA, Simons oversaw all grassroots, grasstops and political fundraising for the world’s largest foodservice trade association. Prior to his work at the NRA, Simons led the New Hampshire Republican State Committee (NHRSC) as Executive Director during the 2012 Presidential election cycle. In this position, Simons led the statewide strategy and fundraising for federal, state, and local Republican candidates while coordinating state party efforts with the Republican National Committee and Romney For President campaign. Simons' previous experience also includes roles at DDC Public Affairs directing issue advocacy campaigns; at the American Hotel & Lodging Association managing its grassroots and PAC programs; and at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, advocating for defense and aerospace programs. Simons earned his BA degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire. Originally from Meredith, New Hampshire, Simons now resides in Washington, D.C.
