My main objective is to use my skills and knowledge to support a corporate network improving it where neccesary to make it more efficient in a a 3rd line role.In my current position I work in a varied and challenging role supporting several hundred users in a fully virtualized global LAN/WAN Environment. The operating systems I currently support are Windows XP, Windows 7,Windows 8, Citrix Xenapp 6.5, Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2012 and Microsoft Exchange 2010.On a daily basis I perform backups and restore user data and manage the network using Microsoft SCOM. I resolve any server problems or user access issues, create user accounts , OU’s and groups and other daily relevant tasks and maintenance within Active Directory and MS Exchange 2010. For three years I have been solely responsible for the whole network when my line manager is absent. The Hardware I support includes pc’s, laptops,thin clients, mobile phones,PDA’s, tablets, printers, servers, Mitel Telephony System.Due to working in a very small team of 2 I have developed excellent troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills and am always keen to take on extra responsibilities as required.My Hardware skills have been developed at both a personal and professional level, and I am able to troubleshoot and repair PC’s, laptops and printers.I am able to work alone or in a team and manage my own time to carry out any projects or support problems to agreed SLA’s. I carry out site visits if problems cannot be resolved remotely.I am very keen to learn and develop new skills and currently hold both MCSA and MCSE qualifications. Having recently passed the Citrix Xenapp 6.5 Administration Exam, I am now studying towards the Cisco CCNA qualification using a home lab I have custom built from scratch.
