I worked as Junior Maintenance Engineer at the Ford Engine Plant in Port Elizabeth. I was also present in all production, maintenance and assembly meetings. Being able to sit in on the meetings gave me a great understanding of the managerial knowledge needed to run a factory of such large proportion.Overall i gained great experience in the physical maintenance of the CNC machines used in the factory as well as the management of the plant itself.

i worked in the warehousing department of the factory. The warehouse was responsible for the receiving and dispatching of spare parts as well as other miscellaneous items. I did a project were the entire warehouse was reorganised and put onto a excel spread sheet in order to track stock coming in and out of the warehouse. The tracking was done by assigning parts with specific codes linked to the position of the part, the make of the part, what part it was as well as the supplier of the part. This streamlined the receiving and dispatching of parts as well as making the whole process more efficient.

Worked as waiter at Culture club in Pretoria which is an extremely popular Restaurant. i gained great experience with regard to people skills and social interaction as well as improved my skills in team work.

I worked under the Plant manager and preformed a efficiency analysis on the 2 steam boilers (10 ton boiler and 6 ton boiler) present at the factory. The efficiency analysis was based on how much water the boilers were using, how much steam they were producing and how much of that steam was used by the machines. The goal of this project was to determine current efficiency and possible ways to improve it so as to improve production.
