In October 2019 I started to support the Rentel offshore project in Belgium with a view to developing the safety culture on site and bringing the Belgian team in alignment with Northern Europe and the Middle East business. During my time at Rentel I will support in bringing two new offshore projects, Seastar and Mermaid into the Rentel project that will use a brand new mid sized SOV concept, the first of it's kind in the industry. Prior to this assignment i was looking after the Dudgeon offshore wind farm for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy until hand over to the customer Equinor in October 2019.I was moved here after ensuring that the new safety advisors were fully established in their roles with my support at Gwynt y Mor, walney 4 and West of Duddon Sands. Recent projects i have worked on are Gwynt y Mor, Rhyl Flats, West of Duddon Sands, Walney 4 Extension, Teesside and the moving of Siemens training center from Newcastle to its new home in Hull.Using my previously gained knowledge and experience in the wind industry i am providing a full and varied HSE service to Siemens covering many aspects of Health and Safety including Providing robust and visible active HSE leadership within the business unit, acting as a champion for the Zero Harm policy, providing competent HSE advice to management, employees and the client, implementation of continuous improvement strategies, provide advice to management on HSE legislation and other obligations, ensure that all documentation including risk assessments, safety data sheets, method statements, and training records are current, holding management status with Siemens KRIMA reporting system, writing of additional documentation including risk assessments, method statements and other relevant work pieces to ensure the smooth flow of the project, attending and chairing relevant meetings representing both the site and the HSE department, preparation for and overseeing of major project under CDM Regulations. My main role at Senvion is to run the Health and Safety off shore on board the jack up vessel "Freidrich Ernestine" overseeing the single blade installation to wind turbines on the Nordsee Ost project. Whilst working for Senvion I have been posted on Helgoland to establish the HSE unit for commissioning, I have been a pro active member of the safety team constantly keeping on top of procedures, training, and risk assessments. Within this consultancy position it is my brief to establish a platform enabling the implementation of the PUWER regulations throughout the Siem Daya fleet of vessels. I have designed a package to be used throughout the fleet and through a series of site visits to each vessel located world wide on a regular basis I will eventually be able to achieve PUWER compliance for the fleet.

Working with Repower on the jack up barge Neptune as their HSE manager is proving an excellent challenge for me, overseeing the replacement of major components to established wind farms in Belgium and German waters. I have gained valuable experience working with many nationalities in dangerous and hostile environments and managed to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel whilst working to deadlines.
