I am currently working for Siemens, putting together the wiring infrastructure for their new fleet of commercial trains as part of the Thameslink Project. I have enjoyed running a panel workshop, designing and building bespoke electrical systems and writing PLC programs for companies such as Rolls Royce, Ford, British Aerospace and G.E. I have designed and built a vast range of electrical cabinets for use on all types of machinery, typically using Motor drives (Inverters), Encoders, Isolators, RCD's, Transformers, Contactors (Coils and solid-state), Safety relays and Programmable safety controllers, Relays (positively guided and standard).Ive worked all over the country providing electrical support for machine commissioning and later for maintenance and breakdowns.Experienced on Siemens, Mitsubishi, koyo, RedLion and Schneider PLCs. (Written around 100 programs)Responible for prioritising workloads in our very fast-paced production environment ensuring that myself and my team of technicians meet deadlines to industry standards.Responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all factory electrical and mechanical systems.
