A seasoned and highly motivated chartered Town Planning and Surveying professional, with EIA practitioner accreditation, operating at a senior level within the property sector for over 35 years. I have extensive experience in providing strategic planning advice, preparing planning applications, leading multi-disciplinary teams in preparing Environmental Statements, site promotion, and appearing as a witness at hearings and inquiries. With a commercial approach, I place emphasis on providing added value with delivery of schemes on time and within budget.I am very fortunate to work across a multitude of development sectors for both private and public sector organisations which encompasses: commercial; education and healthcare, town centre; regeneration; infrastructure and logistics; heritage and tourism; energy; renewables and DCO development; mining and waste management; EIA peer review, coordination and production for residential, wind, mining, tourism, manufacturing, harbour and aquaculture development. Within the energy sector I have contributed to the now approved DCO BAEF application and examination for power station development in Lincolnshire, anaerobic digestion, STOR, solar and hydro energy storage. throughout the UK. I have also discharged DCO requirements for major warehouse development at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal in Northamptonshire. I advise on the Aldbrough Alternative Hydrogen Storage DCO proposal located in East Yorkshire and the Cornish Lithium mine proposal in Cornwall. I have extensive experience in the natural resource sector and advise on a wide range of minerals, brickworks, unconventional gas, ports, wind, waste management and energy recovery.Generally providing a planning and EIA lead role, recent ongoing commissions have included: the new £1.4 bn Adults and Children hospital at Leeds General Infirmary in the Leeds Innovation Arc, the new £29m Leeds St. James hospital pathology building; town centre regeneration schemes in Halifax (Beech Hill), Elland (Southgate), Holmfirth (Market), Knottingley & Ferrybridge Growth Zone, brownfield regeneration at the former Staveley Steelworks, Chesterfield; new school development including Leeds Academy, special educational needs schools in Kirklees, college development in Doncaster and student accommodation in Durham. I have advised on a number of proposals for tourism, heritage and minerals related development within landed estates for the Church Commissioners for England, the Duke of Devonshire and the Harewood House Trust.
