id/x partners offered a virtual project-based internship program partnered with Rakamin Academy to provide experience as a Data Scientist intern through real data problems, case studies, and projects.As a virtual data scientist intern here, I took on the task of creating an end-to-end credit risk classification project to assess whether a customer is eligible for a loan. The important details in the project include:- Leveraging three different machine learning models (Logistic Regression, KNN Classifier, Random Forest Classifier) to enhance the accuracy of credit risk assessments.- Conducted comprehensive data processing and cleaning procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the dataset, involving feature selection, feature engineering, handling of missing values.- Recognized the imbalanced distribution in the target variable which was handled by employing the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) to generate synthetic instances for the minority class, thereby balancing the dataset.- Implemented Hyperparameter tuning using Bayes Search Cross Validation to search for the best combination of parameters during the model building process.- Implemented model explanations and interpretability features using feature importance to enhance transparency and facilitate stakeholders' understanding of model decisions.

- Delivered insights through analyzing and visualizing data which is beneficial to further improve the programs offered by the platform.- Created a dashboard used for monitoring the Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) to facilitate the business team in charge of development in choosing the best strategical business decisions using Metabase and Tableau.- Collaborated with all the other data analyst interns on a final intern project to create a dashboard used to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the programs offered by Karier.mu using in-depth analyses such as Exploratory Data Analysis, and Mean Difference (t-test).
