I entered into radiology to focus on what I love most about medicine: making diagnoses, intelligent discussions regarding patient treatment, and countless opportunities to learn. During my time in residency, I met many leaders, educators, and mentors in the field. Ultimately, I found that both abdominal imaging and procedures, given new and rapidly changing advances, excited me most. I look forward to using the complex and demanding skills I have learned to help all of my patients.I plan to use a broad range of imaging modalities to answer my referring clinicians’ questions and guide patient treatment. MRI, CT, PET-CT, radiography, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound are all modalities I am comfortable with interpreting. I can also use my experience during fellowship to perform image-guided biopsies, aspirations, catheter drainages, and ablations. During training, I often encountered a high volume of studies, and I am very comfortable with approaching each study with an efficient but informative lens. My final year of residency included a mini-fellowship in neuroradiology, and I would be happy to help with diagnostic neuroradiology responsibilities. As co-chief resident of my residency for two years, I wove the concerns and desires of a large radiology department to assemble a strong, effective residency program. I relished the opportunity and hope to continue using my leadership qualities throughout my career.I am looking for a position that challenges me, encouraging constant learning and curiosity. I will dedicate myself to become an outstanding radiologist who can apply the principles of radiological diagnosis to provide excellent patient care throughout my career.
