Creative DesignerUk Ministry Of Defence Dec 2017 - Sep 2019London, United KingdomSupporting Defence Communications, I produced digital design work primarily for social media channels. Reacting to the latest news and campaigns, I worked alongside the brand and digital teams and utilised the Adobe Creative Suite amongst other design tools. The majority of the work was in Adobe After Effects, producing video content to specific comms plans, closely working with all areas of the communication department. The role was a newly established position, working in a team of two as a Creative Hub. During this period my more experienced manager acted as a mentor, and his formal skills in design that were passed on were very beneficial to my development. This included new processes for our team as well as him being intensively particular about the details- for which I learned is crucial when communicating to an external audience on social media. -
Graphic DesignerRoyal Navy May 2008 - Dec 2017Portsmouth, United KingdomProducing design work ranging from design-for-print to 3D animation, I supported Navy Command on hugely varied tasking whilst providing expertise to both customers and colleagues.Starting from a relatively inexperienced designer, I learned quickly and took on as much responsibility and development as possible, including line management duties.
