Chiswick Park

Discovery Channel Assisted with launch of server based multi channel operation in Chiswick Park and operating a 'Morpheus' playout system for 4 channels.Ensuring OFCOM codes of practice are adhered to, monitoring audio/vision equipment and secondary events for all channels, performing correct and speedy recovery from on air problems.Liaising with scheduling, and engineering departments to ensure all material is available and transmission runs smoothly.

Amsterdam

Chello Media Amsterdam, Netherlands 1999-2005 Having arrived at the start, initially, running channels manually, from tape and some live sources, then moved on to what was one of the first multi channel, server based media Centre’s in Europe.As well as ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of several, Omnibus controlled, multilingual channels, I also worked regular shifts on live football events.I really enjoyed the experience of living and working in a different culture.

Controlling and operating single channel,LMS and stand alone machines playout system,Dealing with Material delivery ,Client and standby procedures .Ensuring OFCOM codes of practise were adheared to .Monitoring audio/vision equipment,secondary events for the channels .Preparing altering and checking schedules for transmission,previewing material and performing correct and speedy recovery from on air problems on taped and live events.. A multi skilled role which included recording incoming material on ‘Odetics’ and editing for Playout later in the day as well as preparing and loading schedules and ensuring the smooth Playout of the channel.Leasing with scheduling,engineering departments and correct and speedy recovery procedures.
