Management of the store: I typically serve as the store’s duty manager two days a week, for which I am solely responsible for running the shop, supervising five employees.I volunteered to fill the post of Deputy Manager for 10 months, while the existing deputy manager was placed on secondment in another store. During this time, I took on the full management of the store for a 6-week stretch while the manager was away.-Sales - To listen to and engage with customers. Then suggest products which will both satisfy their requirements and expectations, as well as maximise the opportunities for company profit. Negotiate deals with the customer as required, to ensure completion.-To work with a huge variety of people, not only face-to-face in the shop, but also over the phone, via email and on site visits to the customer’s home or place of work. -To recognise and build ongoing relationships with our most valuable target customers. -High standards of both verbal and written communication and visual presentation. Strong organisation skills required to keep track of customer orders and follow up on leads and customer enquiries.-Providing the best standards of customer service and responding to customer issues.-To follow the correct legal and company procedures for:-Health and safety-Security-Payment procedures, finance and accounting-Consumer rights-GDPR and data protection -Stock control I also work regularly with the company marketing department and feature prominently on the Richer Sounds YouTube channel.
