I love teaching and helping students achieve their goals. My goal for every student is for them to become Certified Surgical Technologists. This takes a lot of work on both sides. Having passed the CST exam I understand what it takes to accomplish this. After working in surgery for the past 7 years I also know what is necessary for being successful in the operating room. I try to be real with the students and let them learn from mistakes I have made and the positive experiences I have had as well. I try to bring humor in almost every situation (when appropriate) because I know how difficult and serious real life surgery can be. Being a successful CST requires a balance between having proficient skills and a positive personality.
