I am a musician who specializes in playing the guitar (primarily classical but also steel string, archtop, electric, and lute) as well as upright and electric bass. I have been studying music for almost forty years, performing since grade school, and teaching for 30 years. My influences are many but it has mostly been a combination of the great classical composers, trad, classic and modern jazz, brazillian, caribbean, african, and of course rock. I am currently a freelance performer residing in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts and teach many private lessons as well as classes at Berkshire Country Day School in Lenox, Ma., and at Flying Cloud Institute in New Marlborough, Ma. Over the years, I have learned to play many instruments (some better than others) including: tuba, trombone, violin, piano, steel drum, drum set, cello, didgeridoo, mandolin, banjo, trumpet, tin whistle, and to some extent, my voice.Artists I have collaborated and/or performed with with include James Taylor, Charles Neville, Dr. John, Ed Mann, Paul Halley, Nick Halley, Eugene Friesen, Sonya Kitchell, Miro Sprague, Horacio Hernandez, Chad Wackerman, Larry Goldings, and many others.
