As a Business Analyst at Nordea relating to transaction monitoring and Sanctions Screening my job is to be the bridge between the compliance and the IT. By working proactively and agile, I strive to find solutions in how to be compliant in relation to new regulations in a way so that both Nordea’s clients, the Nordea Business and competent authority are pleased. The Sanctions Screening Data Project creates value by managing the risks associated with Nordea adhering to the national and international sanctions regimes. My work is driven by a regulatory need to be compliant and aligned with regulations and practices such as the Anti-Money Laundering Directive (“AMLD IV”), AMLD V, The Wire Transfer Regulation (“WTR”), SWIFT SR 2020 / ISO20022 Conformance, FATF-16 and Common Global Implementation Market Practice (“CGI Recommendation”).

As a Business Analyst in the Mifid 2 project at SEB, I work with interpretations of the regulation, and how to convert the regulation into practical compliant processes within the bank.

As a analyst at the Swedish FSA I studied new upcoming regulations such as Mifid 2, Mifir and PRIIPs. Furthermore, I was a part of the FSA´s work with Fintech. As a part of this I was involved with the FSA ́s Crowdfunding report, which was commissioned by the Ministry of Finance. In the report I was responsible for the analysis of crowdfunding firms in Sweden.

As a Finance Inspector in the fund area, my main responsibilities were the supervisory of the fund market, i.e. Fund managers, UCITS and alternative investment funds, as well as authorization of these. I began my assignment at the same time as a new law, Lagen om alternativa investeringsfonder (“LAIF”) come into force. The new regulation, based on the EU Directive regarding Alternative Investment Funds Management Directive (“AIFMD”) resulted in an increased responsibility for my department where our supervisory mandate got greater. For an example the new regulation resulted in that many new firms where enforced to apply for license.During my time as Inspector I was in charge for an investigation regarding outsourcing concerning risk and compliance. The investigation concerned 60 AIF-managers, Fund managers and Investment firms. The investigation resulted in a FI-forum.

As a portfolio specialist in private loans and insurance at Marginalen bank my main responsibilities where to lead projects related to the products as well as take part of the work with the pricing of the portfolio. During my time as portfolio specialist I also got the license as insurance broker.

The work in front office at Marginalen bank was a great opportunity for me to learn more about customer care, financial products, sell skills and financial IT-systems. In the work I also gained some basic knowledge of bank secrecy

My role as a Business Analyst consultant at Tortuga Mobile Payments was to create a business case for the company, that the firm needed for their coming financing round. I built a case by doing market researches, forecasts, scenario analysis, budgets, SWOT-analysis and a business plan.

Lickershamnskrogen is a Swedish gourmet restaurant located at the popular island, Gotland. Just next to the water, the restaurant serves 500 guests every day with dishes like fish soup, saffron pancake and traditional lamb, using local ingredients. The restaurant has 25 employees and annual sales of around 2 500 000 SEK. In recent years, due to other duties, we have rented out the restaurant.
