Assist Canadian industries in formulating complaints regarding the alleged harmful dumping or subsidization of imported goods; analyze these complaints and make recommendations regarding the opening of an investigation.Request detailed information from exporters on their business practices and production costs, and analyze the information.Request detailed information from foreign governments on subsidies and analyze it.Conduct financial, accounting, and commercial verifications at the premises of importers, foreign exporters, or foreign government offices.Draft reports on the results of investigations and make recommendations on the imposition of anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties.Proceed to Expiry Review investigations and make recommandation to the President regarding the likelihood of continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing on the basis of the information available, including as appropriate:- Any information provided by the CITT- Responses to CBSA’s questionnaires sent to domestic producers in Canada, importers, and exporters (including foreign producers and vendors) and, in subsidy cases, foreign governments;- CBSA import statistics and enforcement data; - Determinations from CBSA investigations and re-investigations (e.g., normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy);- Representations, case arguments and reply submissions submitted to the President by parties to the proceedings and persons interested; - Other relevant information.
