Operations Specialist
CurrentOperations Specialist in the Operations Support Branch of the Operations Division, Headquarters Installation Management Command (IMCOM); Provide operations support services to HQ IMCOM and four regional offices, and installations that includes current operations and the integration of all functional support IMCOM provides to existing Army operations (Army Medical Action Plan, Army RESET, Army Family covenant, Army Community Covenant, Army Soldier Family Action Plan, Army Support Activity Soto Cano); Responsible for providing Department of the Army and IMCOM regional staff with assistance, advice and analysis in reference to current operations and operating support services programs. Develop methodology, programs and directives to support IMCOM’s regions with oversight of current operations. Work with IMCOM’s regional staff to conduct all coordination with the other IMCOM regions, ACOMs, ASCCs, DRUs and HQDA Staff (ARSTAFF)proponents and other agencies ensuring staff actions and tasking requirements are met in a timely manner with high quality.★ Primary action officer and point of contact for coordinating and completing staff actions, preparing briefings and acts as a liaison officer to the Army Staff (ARSTAFF). Prepare required After Action Reports (AAR), Mission Messages, Warning Orders, Fragmentary Orders and Operation Orders and related documents to include organizing, formatting, assuring accuracy and completeness of the final publications. ★ Action Officer and planner for Black Start Exercises (BSE), an exercise in which delivery of energy provided from off an installation is terminated before backup generation assets on the installation are powered on; designed to examine garrison back-up power capabilities, Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, other electrical resiliency options, and to determine vulnerabilities and future energy resiliency projects.
