As part of a small but experienced team of developers, we supported and extended SpotCheck, an easy to use, web-based, automatic way to measure, record and access broadcast television audio loudness records, for use in CALM compliance. We also develop custom software to interface and control our various audio/visual hardware, running on an embedded ARM architecture and a minimal linux operating system. - Full LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) stack development, with C++ transport stream decoding and communication - Added closed caption support to Spotcheck, from capture (C++) to display (web). - Multiple C++ projects to support existing and new hardware development, involving client and server architectures and communications, e.g. a JSON-based communication protocol, and a UI to control multiple cascaded multi-view video cards via the protocol. - Mentoring and providing direction on development best-practices (Agile development practices, continuous integration, release development).

Working as part of a small team developing new features for Ignite, the desktop tool, and IgniteOnline, the web-based tool, both used to schedule advertising media to the WatchFire-built LED billboards, using C# connected to an SQL database via the .NET Entity Framework, with JavaScript and Silverlight UI components for the online components, and C++/MFC for the desktop - Implemented a fault-tolerant Windows service connecting IgniteOnline to the controller hardware driving the billboard - Offering advice and direction towards building a better software development process and team - Lead the most recent series of Ignite updates, from inception to delivery, using Agile methodologies
