Jonathan Tomlin is an American born, Europe-based Writer/Director and recent graduate of the MA Filmmaking course of the London Film School. His graduation short film, 'CODA' premiered in competition at the 2013 Aubagne International Film Festival in France. ‘CODA’ won the prize for ‘Best Drama’ at the 2013 Screentest: The UK’s National Student FIlm Competition. His previous short film ‘Our Day Will Come’ (35mm) screened at the Barbican in London during the 2010 Bicycle Film Festival programmed as an opener to Vittorio Di Sica's 'Ladri di Bicilette' (Bicycle Thieves) His short documentary ‘Path To Peace’ was incorporated into Ridley Scott’s documentary ‘Life In A Day’. Before moving to London, he directed a documentary, ‘Double Yellow’ about the jobs and international sub-culture of bicycle couriers. The documentary was screened in the U.S., Australia and Japan. His current narrative drive combines his experience in bothdocumentary and fiction with an interest for stories and characters that realisetheir humanity and challenge their reality.
