In this position, I work a list of several projects with the goal of making business processes run better, faster, and smoother. By taking into account the dependency of different departments, and focusing on optimizing overall flow rather than local efficiencies, I have an executive level understanding of business processes without the responsibilities that come with an executive role. During this time, I oversaw receiving inspections, rework, and returns.Receiving inspections - All incoming goods are inspected for quality prior to being released to the warehouse. When I took responsibility, average turnaround was about 10 days, with peaks as high as three weeks. When I left this position, average turnaround was 6 hours with a peak of 3 days. This was accomplished without adding employees.Rework - Oversaw rework of nonconforming products as determined by the material review board. Returns - Oversaw receipt, inspection, determination of customer returns. When I took responsibility, customer returns took as long as 120 days to process. I implemented several procedural changes to improve turnaround time and customer satisfaction. When I left this position, turnaround time was 24 hours. This was accomplished with the addition of one employee.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

During this time, I worked with a team of 4 to develop and build our earplug manufacturing facility. Construction was completed on time and within budget. I was primarily responsible for installing and wiring the electrical systems. The machines themselves are capable of producing a NRR33 earplug, the best in the industry.
