My current role consists of many of my previous HSE responsibilities. I have worked with pipeline damage prevention in urban and rural areas. Meeting on-site to locate underground utilities and discuss pipeline crossing requirements. These areas include Class 3 and Class 4 gathering lines, as well as a transmission line and compressor stations. I have been involved with state regulatory audits, developed an urban pipeline emergency shut-in map, pipeline repairs, the abandonment of several sections of pipelines, and helped manage the compliance on over 60 miles of pipeline. I have attended training courses on pipeline compliance and basic operator qualification courses. I assist with HSE compliance in areas including the Permian, the panhandle of Texas, and eastern Oklahoma. I am also involved with a interstate FMCSA program and acting as a DER for drug and alcohol testing.

I transitioned into a HSE position in 2018. HSE responsibilities included on-site training, rebuilding and inventorying monitoring equipment, developing an FR allowance program, PPE assessments, and excavation safety. Received an OGI certification and performed OGI inspections, both for internal engineering projects and for OOOOa reporting purposes in all areas of the company, using a FLIR GF320.

I was moved to a lead operator over two routes and a weekend lead. I communicated with the other operators to prepare and distribute daily production reports. Specialized in the optimization of injection assisted plunger wells and was involved in the route reviews of all routes in my area. I attended a company production conference, discussing new ideas and reviewing issues from other areas. I was involved in the development and application of new projects. Projects included using on-site compression utilization and decreasing line pressure, lowering injection line pressure at the compressor to lower chemical costs and prevent freezes, adjusted choke points at surface to extend the usable life of the plunger equipment, etc.

My route included ~50 wells and ~15 compressors. My responsibilities included housekeeping, leak surveys, compressor inspections, tank gauging, chemical pump rebuilds, chemical and well optimization (injection rates and plunger runs). I performed daily well trends and performed quarterly route reviews with my foreman and engineer. My compression experience helped me to work with the compression foreman and my route foreman to optimize fuel usage, winter operations, and discharge line pressures; less pressure before the choke leads to less methanol usage. Optimizing wells production and surface equipment and the quick repairs of seemingly small items put more molecules through the meter and reduced LOE.

This was my first role in the oil and gas industry. My responsibilities included the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of, on average, twenty-five compressors. The compressor fleet I was assigned included mainly 3306/Gemini and 3306/Ariel packages and three to four 3500/Ariel compressor packages. I was responsible for nighttime callouts on several other kinds of compressor packages, including Wak 7044s, 3608s, Wak 742s, etc. I also performed new compressors installs in my area and helped others in my team with new sets as well. I assisted others in troubleshooting compressor noises, electrical problems, and engine performance issues. I took pride in the cleanliness of my compressors and the area surrounded the compressors. Housekeeping and thorough PMs are key to run time and lowering callouts.
