Manager of the mainframe Performance and Capacity Management team. • Facilitated discussions and explorations of new technologies with business and I&R technical stakeholders to improve HCSC's core reliability, availability and scalability capabilities in the production environment. • Provided solution architect support for current-to-future state integration projects:• 2017 Verscend Software as a Service (SaaS) Integration Project:o Collaborated with the High-Volume Environment Engineering (HVEE) team and internal architects to provide estimates for CPU, memory usage, and latency deltas for Verscend and Multiplan SaaS integrations.o Designed performance benchmarking approach utilizing an in-stream intentional variable delay mechanism to simulate SaaS integration delays to study increases in claim-processing transactions’ elapsed time, CPU usage and throughput degradation.• 2016 VSAM Record Level Sharing (RLS) Transition Project:o Served as key contributor in pilot phase, constructed and executed performance benchmark testing and created/delivered “HCSC VSAM RLS Pilot: Performance Testing Overview” presentation to project team.o Acted as project’s primary technical engineer; designed a high-availability (HA) near-24 x 7 CICS Blue Chip adjudication application architecture leveraging VSAM RLS. o Mentored project members on VSAM RLS technical concepts and dynamics, developed detailed designs and specifications for VSAM SMS storage classes and dataset-to-Coupling Facility (CF) structure mapping assignments, created CF forward recovery log stream and CF structure designs and requirements, and designed VSAM RLS statistical/monitoring facilities.• 2015 IBM zOS Health Check and DB2 360 Assessment:o Acted as HCSC coordinator for an IBM-HCSC zOS and DB2 Health Check Statement of Work (SoW).
