Schulman and the merger of the combined businesses across the region.The APAC operation had 7 manufacturing plants, 2 JVs and a regional office, with a turnover of ~200m USD and a headcount of +600.The organizational structure operated in a Matrix environment I reported jointly to the Global CFO and the VP & GM APAC.In this role I led the accounting/finance team and provided regional leadership to the IT function - total staff of ~35 in finance.This role was a combination of customer and commercially focused support, ensuring financial integrity for local and US reporting, strategically focused to support the regional growth plan and over the final 12 months driving the business sale process for APACMajor Achievements:Lead the APAC finance team during the parent entity sale process including leading the finance data gathering for APAC for the due diligence and the support for the regulatory filings processes and the APAC finance preparation of the integration process.Develop APAC strategic plan and implement key steps to achieve the plans. This resulted in the significant expansion of the APAC region, growing Operating Income 6-fold in 8 years (from USD 3m in 2010 to 19.3m in 2017). Oversee the organic growth programs (targeted capital improvement program) and annual capital investment program for APAC. Amount invested = $40m USD over 5 years.Strengthen the APAC balance sheet to self-support the strategic plans for the region without debt via structured working capital improvement programs, high level of focus on business understanding of cash generation benefits and sound fiscal management practices.Developing and implementing standard pricing models for all APAC countries.Built a finance team that can continue to support the business growth plans. Driving the continuous improvement program for the APAC region.
