I am currently working for the largest housing provider in England for over 55s and care. Ongoing duties include diagnosing reactive repairs, damp inspections, budget monitoring, asset management and delivery of planned investment programmes on general needs, communal living, leasehold, and care properties throughout the North East of England.

I worked at Bernicia as a Surveyor/Clerk of Works. Duties included overseeing subcontractor performance of planned investment improvement works in occupied domestic properties. Surveying the current housing stock of properties through stock conditions and validation surveys to help the investment team plan for future investment and improvement to its large and growing housing stock.

I worked at Home Group, as a Project Surveyor/Clerk of Works.My duties consisted of monitoring subcontractors’ installations were to current specifications and in accordance with H & S guidelines. I monitored that the works were in line with the KPI figures in the planned programme and carried out pre, post and mid-term inspections on all work components to check for quality and that properties remained within the decent homes criteria. In addition, I was carrying out whole house pre surveys to aid for lifecycle costs for the planned programme and to assist with subcontractor pre construction information before commencement of works.I travelled throughout the North East carrying out regular inspections, surveys and providing regular communication and technical advice to Home Group customers. I regularly updated our procurement tracker of when works were completed on each component/site and when completed projects were ready to be paid on monthly applications to subcontractors.

Some of the projects included were fire alarm servicing, emergency lighting servicing, Security Alarms, display energy, radon, audit checks and post inspections.
