Leading the technical capacity building team and overseeing all aspects of technical assistance (TA) in project execution as well as assist in project designs in areas of financial inclusion and livelihoods. I current work with RDC’s clients to build capacity of these institutions, private sector associations, regulatory officials, and cross border coordination to prepare for and respond to key constraints in the sector. Specifically carried the following duties;• Facilitate trainings, marketing functions , identification and development of livelihoods enterprises that have potential for income generation and support in product marketing through market chain analysis, gap analysis and conduct due diligence.• Providing market information and technical support to NGOs, SACCOs, MFIs, Government bodies and Self-help groups who support SMEs, farmers and other community members to access new or enhance market opportunities.• Promoting relationships with business partners, including with financial institutions to support the extension of credit to smallholder farmers; Designing and implementing micro-finance and other rural credit options to support the establishment and expansion of business enterprises. • Helping to design and implement practical training programs to build community capacity in social business enterprises. Specific intervention focus will be on practical site and sector-specific training, introduction of innovative technology, entrepreneurship and communication.

This position supported the integration of program activities to create coherent, quality and complimentary programming. Specific focus was to ensure strong integration of program leadership and day-to-day field operations management and fund management to ensure that they are effective used and met the planned goals and objectives as agreed with the donors. The HFHK integrated Housing programme was implementing five different programmes namely; (i) Housing microfinance (ii). Livelihoods building (financial education literacy, savings & loans and income generating activities), (iii). Market development in housing finance, (iv) OVC & IDPs settlement and (v). Advocacy in land ownership and housing. This position worked with other partners to provide health, education, WASH and protection programs.1) Programme Management:• Led in the overall and implementation of the five mentioned programmes, performance management and resource mobilization. • Prepared and reviewed progress and final program report. Reported internally and externally as required on the project progress and achievement against targets and work plan. Ensured that all reports, related to technical and financial aspects, were delivered on time as required internally and as agreed with the donors and that the reports were of high quality.• Managed expenditure to align with the budgets, ensured timely and accurate financial reporting internally and to donors.2) Specific technical work in livelihoods• Established partnership with other relevant stakeholders as appropriate such as NGOs, Microfinance, cooperatives, banks, governmental agencies, etc.• Oversaw the performance of the livelihoods projects and ensured they were delivered according to provided guidelines• Through a rigorous research I designed livelihood value chains for the youth, women and poor community members and led in the implementation of livelihoods trainings manual developed with these programmes

• Microfinance Programme Management: • Guide the branches in cultivating a lending and saving culture of high customer service standards and ensure that an excellent customer experience is at the core of organization's retail lending delivery methods and ethos;• Guide the branches in implementing processes, policies, and procedures that drive profitable growth of existing products and ensure strong loan portfolio quality in a market-responsive and responsible manner;• Analyze and continuously improve products, policies, procedures, and structures in a way that is scalable and in support of organization's growth targets while also striking the right balance between efficiency, profitability, risk management, and responsiveness to client preferences and needs.• Review/approve monthly targets and outreach plans for branches;• Monitor area performance versus plan, and work with senior staff to develop plans for any interventions which may be required.• Lead annual budgeting exercise and collaborate with the Head Office and other departments to ensure program activities are in accordance with the project budget and work plan.• Maintain and refine policies and procedures for the procurement and disposal of project goods and services, in compliance with project policies and procedures and regulations, and provide training to credit and admin staff on proper credit administration procedures.• Review, negotiate, and approve all field office contracts (including service agreements, office leases, contracts), ensuring all required contractual terms and conditions are included and obtaining the best value to the project.Human resources and people management: • Provide leadership, management, and strategic focus for branch managers • Work with branch management to cultivate a positive working environment, sense of belonging ('team spirit'), and affinity to organization's mission and brand values among the retail banking work force;

INRMU Project was an agricultural financing initiative made to provide farming interventions geared to improve food security and income generation activity for the community. The project created enterprises which were later linked to financial service providers for bigger funding to make big impacts. The project was handed over to KREP Development Agency (KDA) to finalize implementation and financial linkages. I was moved to KDA with the portfolio to help in financial linkages.Responsibilities• Ensured that the vision and plans for projects are innovative and are in line with Belgium technical cooperation and country program strategies, as well as Ministry of environment and natural resources strategies.• Ensured integration of farming interventions with existing farming programs, especially irrigation, fruit culture, beekeeping, microfinance and health, through regular meetings, communication and sharing. • Mainstream gender into the design and implementation of sponsored agriculture and agro-enterprise development programs to increase equity.• Oversaw program’s monitoring and evaluation, using data analysis as the basis for measuring performance. • Led on the identification of new business development areas, train clients on enterprise development and doing financial services and market linkages. • Did product development and value addition activities which processed excess fruits to use in future and utilized farm remain as animal feeds, energy sources and decomposed for fertilizers.• Managed project budgets, including tracking of collection, financial and material resources using established budget management tools and systems.• Ensured accurate and timely reporting of program finances and progress status; review actual financial performance against the budget; and explain variances on a regular basis.

The project was funded by the Belgium Government and first phase of implementation was done by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in conjunction with BTC. The interventions were in form of credit/loans to be repaid from sales of the produce. Also it worked on access to finance and market linkages to the farmers groups. The products ranged from irrigation, forestry, fruit culture, beekeeping and water & sanitation funding.Responsibilities• Managed the Agribusiness projects in dairy, horticulture and bee keeping. • Built competitive agricultural enterprise for the group members.• Secured markets for the produce both locally and globally. • Looked for innovative ways for value addition for the agricultural produce and on the yields made.• Ensured proper flow of Communication and regular updates to all stakeholders; the project management, Clients etc.• Developed a leading Agribusiness team through hiring the right team, training and developing them, Reviewing performance periodically. • Ensured the farm produces maximum yields by providing professional agronomical support throughout. • Budgeted and Financial management of the project and the banking of funds collected from clients. • Conducting yearly performance appraisals with Managers Identify growth opportunities. • Maximized efficiencies in operations.
