· Maintain overall responsibility of leading a project through all stages of the design control lifecycle from initial design development through full production including prototyping, process development and qualification· Serve as the primary engineering contact for the customer as well as internal teams to coordinate customer objectives and project deadlines with production commitments· Define project objectives and timelines in accordance to established design control procedures. Identify critical paths and milestones. Manage project dependencies and track project deliverables· Manage client interactions and expectations; discuss ideas, concepts, and technical knowledge· Discern technical feasibility and manufacturability of customer inquiries and prepare quotations for prototypes, testing and serial production projects· Estimate resources to achieve project goals, coordinating with other departments for required support, and assign individual responsibilities· Set and manage project expectations with team members and provide direction and support to the team· Guide projects through process development, characterization, optimization & validation using standard, industry statistical techniques· Maintain documentation and traceability in compliance to appropriate regulatory requirements

Lead and support project teams to bring prototype designs through human use indications and productionProvide prototypes and engineering services for external customer designsInvolvement with physicians to receive feedback on design inputs for device developmentDevelop nitinol processing techniques and tooling for various simple and complex medical device designsInvolvement with nitinol processing including: laser cutting, honing, shape setting, grinding, tumbling, microblasting, chemical processing, and electropolishingPerform, oversee, or evaluate results of various tests including: axial/bending/pulsatile/torsional fatigue, tensile, Af, SEM, radial force, FEA, and corrosionDevelop and implement testing procedures and inspection plansDevelop and execute process validations, equipment validations, test method validations, vendor qualifications and material qualificationsPrepare engineering reports and memos to summarize test results and provide justification to process or design changesEngineer in a variety of departments including: New Product Development, Process Development, Component Prototyping, Manufacturing, and Equipment Engineering
