Principle function was to design parts to achieve stamping feasibility, proper packaging, and structural integrity through communication with CAD designers, CAE analysts, and interfacing engineers. Position required proficiency in CATIA, VisMockUp, and Teamcenter as well as an in depth understanding of sheet metal formability and manufacturing and assembly processes. Led the development of an A Surface design change on the Body Side Outer to improve stamping and sealing feasibility through extensive benchmarking of competitive vehicles and collaboration with the Design Studio and interfacing engineers.
