He has substantial trial and litigation experience in many jurisdictional courts of record across the State of Tennessee as well as before the Tennessee Department of Labor. Jon is known statewide as a “no-nonsense” attorney and aggressive litigator amongst the Tennessee workers’ compensation bar. He is meticulously organized and detail oriented and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Jon earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Nashville School of Law in 2006 and soon thereafter joined the law firm of Lewis, Thomason, King, Krieg & Waldrop as a workers’ compensation defense attorney. During his time at Lewis Thomason, Jon served as lead trial counsel and successfully defended local, regional, and national employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in various state courts and before the Tennessee Department of Labor. Jon routinely achieves successful results through directed verdicts, summary judgment, mediation, and arbitration.Prior to attending law school, Jon earned a Master of Science in Health & Human Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Austin Peay State University. Before Jon became a dedicated attorney, he worked 10 years in the public sector administering recreational and athletic programs at the local, regional and state levels.
