I'm a creative specialist with a wide array of experience including video editing, audio editing, page layout, photo editing, logo design, branding, web design, and front-end web development. I started down the creative path in 1989 while writing for a student magazine as an undergraduate at Duke University. In those days we worked in black-and-white on tiny Mac screens, using Aldus PageMaker for page layout. Times have certainly changed, and I've kept up with everything from advances in video editing to responsive web design.After I earned a Master's degree from the University of Richmond in 1994, I worked at a garment printer, eventually moving up to an art director and web designer role. That role required deep knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, skills that served me well when I moved into a role at Capital One in 2001. I spent over 12 years at Capital One, working in various capacities including direct mail page layout, image editing, stock image procurement, brand governance, external agency training, web design, and more.In 2013, I decided to start a small business, Amplitude Interactive, leveraging all of the creative and business skills (e.g. process management) I had learned over the previous 25 years. After seven years, I accepted a full-time position at Acoustical Solutions in Richmond, where I am currently the Ecommerce Manager.
