As a Conversion Coach, I travel to facilities that are implementing Cerner's innovative EHR system Powerchart and Revenue Cycle and assist medical staff in learning how to use the system. I work directly with the physicians and medical staff answering questions and troubleshooting issues that may arrive. Currently I am working with a large health system in the western United States.

As an implementation specialist, I set up online inventory tracking systems for clinics, DME shops, and offices around the country who desired to create extra revenue. My territory was primarily the Kansas City area and the western part of the US, but traveled to many cities around the country. I was responsible for communicating with the clients prior to setting up the inventory tracking system and then traveling to the facility to train all employees who work with the system. After training, I was the contact person for problems, questions, new products to load, etc. I managed around 12 accounts before leaving Ossur. I have a good grasp on using all Office programs, as most of our work for clinics included using Excel spreadsheets to input products. My travels took me away from home typically once a month but I have no issues with traveling for work.

As DME coordinator, I oversaw the DME program at two orthopedic offices which included provision of items for post-operative care per the physician’s protocols; acted as liaison between sales reps and physicians to evaluate new products; solved problems and recommended process improvements to my supervisor to present to the board. I was responsible for training new employees and refreshing employees in the proper way to fit all braces; additionally demonstrating to all patients proper fit. Before I left, I had increased DME revenue from $0 to approximately $100,000

As DME Tech, I was responsible for billing and calling insurance companies and collecting past due balances or balances in question, including writing appeal letters. I handled sales transactions for the day, fitting patients in the orthopedic clinic for OTS and custom braces, including knee and foot orthotics, and delivering post-op supplies to outpatient surgery centers. Work directly with sales reps to stock store with products and maintain inventory for our products and a stock and bill program.
