I am a communication and media professional specialising in sports media with two decades of experience. I predominately work in television media but also have experience in radio and written. I've covered most of Australia's major sporting events and followed domestic and international teams interstate and abroad for World Cups and Commonwealth Games. I've also been fortunate enough to work on many Outside Broadcasts for cricket, rugby, Melbourne Cups and Aleagues. Currently I am the sports editor at Network 10 in Brisbane, overseeing a team of excellent reporters. As part of my role I manage the day to day and long term sports plans for the newsroom. I have a great interest in social media and the influence it has on news. I have a strong knowledge of the story structure - long form or short, feature or breaking news..I'm also available as an MC for events and media training.
