I am a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer specialising in wind tunnel test methodology and experimental aerodynamics, currently working for Aston Martin F1. I have post graduate research experience in high speed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and I also have 11 years of wind tunnel testing experience ranging from civil structures to automotive with 7 of those years in F1.Over the past few years I have become an integral member of the Aerodynamic test team, delivering world class data analysis routines to support aerodynamic development. I have changed the face of wind tunnel testing and optimised processes in order to maximise the quantity of data we get out of the wind tunnel without compromising quality. I have gained a thorough understanding of the mechanical and aerodynamic forces involved in wind tunnel testing and how these forces can compromise the data quality as well as a practical understanding of how wind tunnels work. I have also provided analysis tools for the team to use and provided guidance on facility calibrations in ordered to maintain traceability and accuracy of the data measured. I am experienced in the use of ATLAS data telemetry software, SQL Databases, MATLAB and VB.NET programming.I am educated to master's degree level in high speed CFD Aerodynamics (MPhil) and have attended the World Wind Tunnel Symposium in 2010, the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Mechanics as well as MATLAB and Project Management courses. I am a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS) and am currently working towards becoming a chartered engineer.
