As an avid outdoors man I am always furthering my experience and knowledge of the marine ecosystem. As a marine biologist I seek to better observe the physiology of marine animals and understand their behavior and ecology. I have experience working in Marine labs where I have gain knowledge in animal husbandry and improve my lab skills with different and current technologies used in the marine field. I have the privilege to use diving to collect data from simple fish identification to benthic surveying. I am currently learning the process of using sonar in the field to collect data and using multiple systems to process and analyze the sonar data. I often find myself exploring wetlands and different terrestrial landscapes to extend my knowledge of the biological and ecology of these environments.I have now entered a new field, exploring surface water data collection of Salem's streams and estuaries. Monitoring the runoff and pollution from stormwater and helping the City to continue to provide and analyze important data for the safety of the citizens of Salem and Oregon.
